Overview
The Postgraduate Diploma of Research Preparation (Science) provides formal training in research methods and research management, and experience in conducting research, from conception to publication of the outcomes. It offers an alternative pathway for entry to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) for those in the science field who do not have an Australian Honours degee or equivalent. Graduates of this Diploma who achieve a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 may progress directly to a PhD. Those with a GPA of 3.0 can study the Master of Philosophy with the possibility of then transferring to a PhD.
