Overview
Master of Commerce provides both an understanding of a multidisciplinary approach to Biotechnology as well as the opportunity to acquire functional business skills.The Master of Biotechnology offers students a core competency in advanced molecular biotechnology approaches including molecular biology, protein bioechemistry, proteomics and applied microbiology. In addition it offers students postgraduate level skills in critical thinking, literature and peer review, and experimental design.
The Master of Commerce delivers a flexible, student-centred and relevant postgraduate business education in a range of disciplines. It is highly practical and designed to meet the career needs of graduates.
This specialisation will deliver postgraduate level theoretical knowledge and applied skills in accounting and its related fields. Students will develop the necessary skills to move into accounting roles and develop their professional expertise and career opportunities.

Students who have completed a Bachelor degree in any discipline and are interested in pursuing a career in accounting related field.
Also suitable for students who have done some accounting or business units in their Bachelor degree and would like to extend their accountancy skills.

Entry requirements
Applicants must hold a university degree equivalent in standing to a three-year Australian bachelor degree and should have gained a GPA of 2.70 or more (out of 4.00).

Catriona Lavermicocca
Catriona is a Lecturer and the Postgraduate Programs Co-ordinator for the Department of Accounting and Corporate Governance. She is also a Chartered Accountant.
Catriona holds a Mater of Law from UNSW and a Bachelor of Economics with Bachelor of Law from Macquarie University. Her research interests are taxation, directors duties and corporate governance.
