Overview
Master of Commerce provides both an understanding of a multidisciplinary approach to Biotechnology as well as the opportunity to acquire functional business skills.The Master of Biotechnology offers students a core competency in advanced molecular biotechnology approaches including molecular biology, protein bioechemistry, proteomics and applied microbiology. In addition it offers students postgraduate level skills in critical thinking, literature and peer review, and experimental design.
The Master of Commerce delivers a flexible, student-centred and relevant postgraduate business education in a range of disciplines. It is highly practical and designed to meet the career needs of graduates.
Human Resource Management is a critical function in any organisation with HR managers playing a strategic role in the success of an organisation and its people. HRM involves a wide range of activities associated with the management of employees and the employment relationship, including the recruitment, selection, remuneration, development and retention of staff.
This specialisation is designed to develop theoretical knowledge and practice in the area of Human Resource Management at an advance level.

Available to students who have completed a Bachelor degree in any discipline including a non-business degree.
This specialisation is also suited to those students wanting to formalise their knowledge of human resource management. These students may, or may not, have had experience working in an HR capacity in an organisation.

Applicants must hold a university degree equivalent in standing to a three-year Australian bachelor degree and should have gained a GPA of 2.70 or more (out of 4.00).

Our Expertise
Dr Troy Sarina
Troy teaches at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. He is currently teaching in the areas of Research methods, Change management & sustainability, Applied Human resource Management and Labour Law.
Prior to academia, Troy held a number of senior industrial relations and people management roles within the Australian retail and airline industries.
Troy's research interests include strategic employment relations, alternative forms of employee representation and labour law.
