Overview

Students can begin with a single course, and work their way right up to a masters. Students obtain analytical and research skills valuable within professional environments, and can gain entry into the MPhil or PhD research programs.

This program provides concentrated study in early Christian and Jewish Studies, including technical, language and research training, for those who wish either to qualify for entry to a research degree in the subject, or to strengthen their qualifications in the area for professional reasons.

Although there are no formal language requirements for admission to this program, candidates who have not previously studied biblical languages are encouraged to consider studying beginners' units in Greek and/or Hebrew before they begin the degree, or concurrently in the Diploma or Certificate in Ancient Languages offered by the Department of Ancient History. Advanced language units are available within the program.
