The Master of Commerce delivers a flexible, student-centred and relevant postgraduate business education in a range of disciplines. It is highly practical and designed to meet the career needs of graduates. The degree prepares graduates with capabilities for careers in the professions.
This specialisation provides students wishing to work in the financial services sector with exposure to both the theoretical concepts and practical applications of modern finance.
Areas covered include Corporate Finance, Investments, Monetary Policy, Financial Instruments, Banking, International Finance, Islamic Finance, and Quantitative Financial Techniques. Issues to do with the regulation and management of financial institutions, and the legal framework are also explored.

Suitable for those with undergraduate degrees in finance or a related discipline such as economics or accounting. Would also suit those with training in a non-financial, but quantitative discipline such as mathematics or statistics. It is designed for graduates wishing to further develop their career in a major financial institution.

Entry requirements
Applicants must hold a university degree equivalent in standing to a three-year Australian bachelor degree and should have gained a GPA of 2.70 or more (out of 4.00).
English language requirements
If you have completed the NSW HSC or equivalent you satisfy the English proficiency requirements.
