Master of Early Childhood with a specialisation in Multiliteracies

Overview

This degree provides you with an opportunity to undertake advanced study in early childhood, to enhance your professional knowledge, and extend your knowledge of related areas in early childhood. You can select units that focus on a particular area of specialisation to match your interests, abilities and career goals.

Please note that this degree does not provide a teaching qualification in early childhood.

This specialisation features a wide range of subjects, including; Language and Literacy in Early Childhood, Learning Through Mathematics, and Science and Technology in Early Childhood Settings. You will also complete subjects designed to improve your research skills by teaching you how to construct a literature review and how to communicate and conduct a research project. You will also examine children's literature from a range of angles, including Australian children's literature.
