Designed for students who want to become professional economists or econometricians. Even if you have not studied economics at undergraduate level you can graduate with a specialisation in economics.
This specialisation will focus on modern economic analytical techniques and the formulation of policy and their interpretation.
Areas covered include micro and macro-economic problems, monetary and financial policies, international monetary policy. international trade and evolution of economic ideas.

Entry requirements
A recognised first degree equivalent to a three year Australian bachelor degree, with a GPA of at least 2.7 (out of 4.0).

Our Expertise
Professor Jeffrey Sheen
Jeff obtained his PhD at the London School of Economics; has been on the faculty of the Universities of Manchester, Essex and Sydney; and has had a visiting appointment at the Reserve Bank of Australia. He has published his research in major international journals, and his interests include international economics, macroeconomics, labour and international finance. Most of his recent research has been in empirical international finance and in macroeconometrics.
