Overview
The Master of Education is a cohesive program of study designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and professional development of educators and others with a background in education studies. You can choose to complete the general pattern, or choose one of three specialisations offered:
- Curriculum and Pedagogy
- Educational Research
- Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Education.
Please note that this is not a teaching qualification.
This specialisation focuses on the effective use of technology in education and teaching. You will learn about how to design a technology-based curriculum, and the methods of leading and managing online learning environments. You will also be introduced to the methodologies of educational research.

- You will have access to the Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre, an initiative of Macquarie University and the NSW Department of Education and Training to find new ways to enhance learning through technology.
