Teach primary school children. Become an open-minded and confident primary teacher who is responsive to academic needs.
By combining arts with primary education, you'll have over forty arts majors to choose from. You'll study teaching methodology, participate in a primary school based Professional Experience program and satisfy the Key Learning Area (KLA) content requirements of the NSW Institute of Teachers:

- Human Society and its Environment (HSIE)
- Creative arts and Personal Development
- Health and Physical Education (PDHPE)
The main focus is on preparing you to work as a primary school teacher.
German Studies provides a sound knowledge of the German language and culture through:
- intensive language teaching
- a critical analysis of Germany’s literature, history and culture.
German units are for beginners to advanced. They cover German language and its varieties in literature, film, history, culture and its major city Berlin.
If you want to use German professionally you could consider combining your study with disciplines such as politics, international relations, law or economics and finance.

- Travel scholarships are available for study in Germany, in a University-run course or under exchange agreements.
- Develop the level of complexity in speaking, listening, reading and writing German required for the Zertifikat C1, the upper-intermediate exam set by the Goethe-Institut. Held globally, this is recognised worldwide in business and education.
