Teach primary school children. Become an open-minded and confident primary teacher who is responsive to academic needs.
By combining arts with primary education, you'll have over forty arts majors to choose from. You'll study teaching methodology, participate in a primary school based Professional Experience program and satisfy the Key Learning Area (KLA) content requirements of the NSW Institute of Teachers:

- Health and Physical Education (PDHPE)
The main focus is on preparing you to work as a primary school teacher.
Studying Spanish will help you to travel the world.
You will:
- become proficient at communicating in a natural and effective way in any Spanish-speaking environment
- learn about the main social, political, economic and cultural issues of Spanish- speaking societies
- engage with themes of upheaval, repression, zeal and transformation that inform Spanish and Latin American worlds.
Students of English literature and creative arts will gain insight into the Latin American influence on English traditions and culture – literature from Cervantes’sDon Quixoteto Gabriel García Márquez, dance such as the tango, salsa and merengue, and films featuring Latin American actors, writers and directors such as Pedro Almodóvar.

- We encourage students to study in Spain or Latin America, in a University-run residential course or under exchange agreements. Exchange countries include Spain, Mexico, Buenos Aires, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Uruguay.
- Language units range from beginners to advanced level.
- Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world – alongside Chinese and English ¬ and Australia alone has over 80,000 Spanish speakers.
