Just last year, the Sydney quintet uploaded their debut single Mexican Mavis to Triple J's Unearthed website. The station immediately embraced the track and the band were rewarded with a slot on the Homebake bill.

Since then, they have played the Corner, the Forum and the Palace in Melbourne, supporting a handful of like-minded acts: Laura Marling, Angus & Julia Stone and Lisa Mitchell.

Our Expertise

Dr Guy Morrow

'I chose Macquarie because I am interested in new technologies, the music business, artist management, rhythm, and music theory.Being a lecturer for the contemporary music discipline enables me to combine these interests.

The Faculty is also research driven which means that I am able to work at the cutting edge of contemporary music disciplines.

The music major at Macquarie is also completed through the generic Bachelor of Arts degree and therefore students study a variety of subjects including music. This means that there are always fresh and interesting ideas for me to consider.'
