In this commerce and law degree you'll develop a comprehensive understanding of all business functions, strategy and skills. You'll study established legal studies areas such as constitutional law, international law and contract law. You'll gain knowledge of commercial legal principles along with the critical and analytic skills to really understand them.

Xiaoqian Ba
Studying commercial law at Macquarie provides me with deeper understanding of the real business world. As an accounting degree student, I regard studying commercial law as an essential part of my program.The course design is dynamic and rewarding. You learn from real-life cases which makes the study of commercial law so interesting and challenging. Our Expertise
Associate Professor Hope Ashiabor
Hope teaches tax, corporate and commercial law units in the undergraduate program. Prior to joining Macquarie, Hope worked as a state attorney and before that was an in-house counsel with a commercial bank.
His research interests are in the areas of environmentally related taxes; tax expenditures in policy implementation; regulatory aspects of carbon finance; energy law; and international tax policy.
