In this program you'll study the fundamentals of the legal system and gain skills in social research and applied social science.

Law and social science are respected contemporary degrees and the combination will give you a unique edge in wide variety of legal, policy-related and research careers.

The politics and internal relations major will give you a deeper understanding of how the world and its countries work, and where you fit into that as an individual.

The study of politics is the study of how some people are able to get other people to do things that they otherwise would never have done – essentially it is about power and influence.

This major covers Australian politics, political theory and international relations. You’ll become familiar with:

  • institutional structures
  • recent political history
  • concepts and analytical approaches that can be applied to politics in other countries.

Political theory and public policy introduce the major debates and different ways of political thinking.
