Overview
Marine scientists work on the conservation, use and development of the marine and coastal environment.
Protection and wise use of our natural resources is increasingly important. There is a need for skilled personnel who can advise upon, organise and control the development of marine resources and activities.
In this degree you'll study key areas of marine science and specialise in either marine biology or marine geosciences.
The marine geoscience specialisation includes units of study that cover marine despositional environments, palaeoceanography, climate impacts and process associated with atmospheric changes.
Key features
- Undertake fieldwork including optional short courses in tropical regions. Past destinations include Fiji and the Great Barrier Reef.
