BSocSci at Macquarie University is a unique social science degree with a focus on policy and applied social research.

The Bachelor of Social Science is an interdisciplinary degree offering a wide choice of majors in the social sciences.

It will prepare you for diverse research and policy-related careers in the private and public sectors. It provides specific skills in social research and applied social science, and an understanding of issues in a culturally diverse social environment with an increasing emphasis on international and global connections.

The sociolinguistics major involves the study of the connections between human language and human society.
