Overview
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander early childhood teachers work with children, families and communities to provide quality educational experiences for young children.
This unique Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) program is run by Warawara and the Institute of Early Childhood. The main focus is to integrate Indigenous perspectives in teaching. You'll undertake four 7-10 day blocks of classes each year and accommodation and meals are provided during your stay.
In this degree you'll study how infants play, explore, learn and develop and grow into healthy children. You'll undertake study specific to the learning needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and gain the skills to teach and work in long day care, preschool and child care settings.
