Profiles
Our Students
Steffi Peter
I had an initial interest in commerce and wanted to pursue a career in one of the majors. I knew from my research that Macquarie has a strong reputation in this area and that the lecturers and teaching staff are well known for their teaching style in which they incorporate their industry experience. I also liked that many of my subjects had PAL classes which are run by previous student who excelled in the subject. This gave another layer of support for my studies.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my years at Macquarie, making lifelong friends along the way. I've enjoyed the extracurricular activities that Macquarie offers, in particular helping out as a Buddy for new international students and participating in the Global Leadership Program.
Our Graduates
Bhavik Dinesh Jeena
Macquarie's Applied Finance and Accounting degree appealed to me because of the diverse range of interesting and relevant units on offer and the high quality of its teaching staff. I was attracted to the plethore of opportunities offered, which allowed me to greatly broaden my international perspective and apply myself in a real-world context.
My time at Macquarie has been truly memorable and a highly rewarding experience as I quickly learnt from day one that learning means much more than just reading through a textbook. At the heart of the university's culture, it is about applying yourself, realising what you are good at, pursuing that dream, and aspiring to bring out your greatest potential.
Bhavik graduated in 2009 and is currently working at Macquarie Group as a Credit Analyst in the Financial Institutions Team.
