Overview

Be part of the business of science. Embrace the challenge of today's science and technology industries as they meet the fast-paced world of business and finance.

Commerce, or business, is the exchange of goods or commodities. In this degree you will study management, marketing, finance and accounting as well as undertake research and study in a science discipline of your choice.

Geophysics involves:

  • the study of the inaccessible Earth using physical measurements
  • the interpretation of these measurements in terms of subsurface structures and phenomena.

A geophysicist is a scientist who applies the principles of physics to the study of the Earth.

Graduates can work in the resource and environmental industries, where most geophysicists are employed. Geophysics is often seen as a distinct discipline, particularly in the mining and exploration industries.

Graduates who are clearly geophysicists have an advantage when seeking work with such companies.
