Overview
This diploma is designed for psychology graduates with an APAC accredited undergraduate degree completed within the last 10 years and who wish to pursue a fourth year in psychology. This diploma can be completed in one year (full-time) or 18 months (part-time).

Entry requirements
Applications will be considered from those who hold a three-year APAC accredited undergraduate degree (or equivalent) conferred within the past ten years. In addition, you will be required to have attained a credit average or above (i.e. overall GPA of 3). A quota is in place and applications will be ranked.
Applications are made to the Australian Univerisities Commission (UAC) and close 31st October 2011. Late applications will not be accepted.
You will also be required to complete the Personal Information Supplementary Form as part of the application process and forward to the Administrative Officer, Graduate Diploma of Advanced Psychology, Psychology Department, Faculty of Human Sciences, Macquarie University, NSW 2109.
English language requirements
If you have completed the NSW HSC or equivalent you satisfy the English proficiency requirements.

Work experience requirements
Work experience in a psychology related field may be taken into consideration if you are just below the academic entry criteria (i.e. GPA of 3).
Notes:
If you have an undergraduate degree from an overseas university you will be required to provide a Statement of Qualification (equivalency) from the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and to submit as part of your application. Please note that the APS assessment process can take up to 6-8 weeks.
International applicants must apply through Macquarie International.
Please note that in order to meet Psychology Board of Australia requirements, if your undergraduate degree was undertaken in a language other than English, you will be required to attain an Academic English proficiency certificate in the form of an IELTS examination (Academic module) with a minimum score of 7 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking).

This fourth year in psychology program prepares you to register as provisional psychologists.
