Overview
Ancient History at Macquarie is a dedicated honours program. You'll undertake specialised research in a specific area and complete an honours thesis.
You'll study archaeology (including papyrology, epigraphy and numismatics), based on the resources of Macquarie's Museum of Ancient Cultures. You'll have the chance to undertake fieldwork in Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Greece and Italy.
In this ancient history degree, you have the option to study Judaism, Early Christianity, and Late Roman and Early Byzantine history across the Silk Road to Ancient China.
